HOA Board of Directors
These are your neighbors that currently volunteer as directors for the Homeowner Association. New board members are nominated at the neighborhood annual meeting each November. If you are interested in how you can support our HOA please contact any board member.
President - Derek Moffitt
Joined the HOA Board: 2022 Derek and his wife Jessica moved to Owasso Homestead in Feb 2019. They are members of Church On The Move in Tulsa and love serving others. They live at 15219 E 83rd St N. Derek graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources "Go Pokes"! and currently works as a product portfolio manager at Ascension. Derek serves on the board in a flexible capacity but his main focus is the neighborhood newsletter, Board liaison to the social committee and building our community.
Vice President - Leilani Allen
Joined the HOA Board: 2024 Leilani and her husband Mark moved into Homestead in April of 2020. They have six grown children and seven grandchildren. Leilani has a degree in accounting, but took a different path upon graduation. She began teaching Pre-K in Owasso, then after twelve years became a substitute teacher for Owasso Public Schools. She retired from there after another twelve years and now provides care as needed for her elderly mother. Mark is a Registered Geologist and works for Industrial Oils Unlimited as a Quality Systems Specialist. Leilani and Mark have stayed active in the neighborhood by serving on the Common Area Maintenance Committee, working mostly in the swamp and park area, and oversaw the purchase and set up of benches, grills and playground equipment currently in the park. She is excited about the opportunity to serve on the Board as she has a passion to make Homestead not just another neighborhood in Owasso, but a community where neighbors take care of neighbors.
Treasurer - Sarah Yanez
Joined the HOA Board: 2021 Sarah and husband, Javier moved into Homestead in May of 2020. They currently have 4 teenagers living at home, which is why there are so many cars in the driveway all the time! Javier is a Journeyman electrician and currently works for the Tulsa IBEW. Sarah graduated with a Master's Degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University and currently works as an accountant at a large oil & gas company, mostly in the Tax Technology space. Sarah has 15+ years of experience sitting on various governmental and non-profit boards and committees.
Secretary - Jessica Moffitt
Joined the HOA Board: 2024 Jessica and her husband Derek moved to Homestead in Feb 2019. We are new parents as of October 4th! I am a hospital nurse by background with a Masters in Nursing Leadership and Administration. I now actively work on the improvement and training of healthcare technology as the Clinical Informatics Director for Ascension St. John. My work passion is around process improvement, simplification and organization which I would like to apply to my potential role on the board. I love seeing our neighborhood grow each year as a tight community and want to continue to help support and foster that.
Director - Laura Durbin
Joined the HOA Board: 2024 Laura and her Husband Andrew moved into Homestead in May of 2020. They have two adult children who visit often and loves visits from her new grandson. Laura works from home as an office manager and medical biller for Hospice Circle of Love in Enid. She's an avid walker you've probably seen out and about. She enjoys the neighborhood bunco group and participated in the 2023 volunteer mowing program. Laura's family moved to Oklahoma in 2010 for Andrews career before working at Google. Laura would like to work on the board to be a part of building the community we have here. She feels her office manager experience will help her in supporting the neighborhood.
Director - Lori Twomey
Joined the HOA Board: 2025 Lori and her husband, Don, moved to Owasso Homestead in November 2021. Tulsa natives, they returned “home” after spending 25 years in Houston. Lori holds a Journalism degree from Oklahoma State University and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. She is currently a Professor at The University of Tulsa College of Law, where she serves as Director of the Legal Writing Program, and she also serves on the board of the local chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Prior to returning to Tulsa, Lori was a school board trustee for one of the largest school districts in the United States. A lover of travel, music, and photography, Lori also enjoys spending time with the ladies in the neighborhood bunco group.
